Under Windows XP, I used atomPackageEditor, which worked nicely.
Windows 7 doesn't seem to like it, however. Has anyone got it running under Microsoft's latest OS?
What Windows 7-compatible packages are out there?

Try running under compatability and disable the visual styles.

For the record, the error that I'm getting is: Microsoft says: "This problem occurs only when you build an .exe from Visual Basic 6.0 and run it from outside the Visual Basic development environment." atomPackageEditor comes with VB 6 runtimes, but I installed them to no avail. Is anyone not coding in VB running atomPackageEditor on a Windows 7 rig?

Most of us don't use TV's built in Package Manager but rather use Zip files. Since TV can load assets from a stream, you can use anything that packs files together. Zip, Rar, Ace, etc are all valid package types. I personally use Zip, along with DotNetZip (or SharpZip) to read, write, pack and unpack archives of content (after unencrypting them).

Thanks for the suggestion, aeon... I will definitely keep this in mind. The solution that I've pursued is simply to code my own TVPackage creator/viewer. (Unfortunately, this will not work until the TVPackage creation bug is resolved.) Most of us don't use TV's built in Package Manager but rather use Zip files. They are release per individual, if you email Sylvain he might give it to you.
