Ok, version 1.02 is now out. The links are updated. And zwiglm, next time I talk to my web guy I'll have it updated. Also, I'll start posting news announcements for new releases.

Website updated with news announcement and version update. I'll be gone on vacation again this week, but when I get back, I'll begin the work on the updates to PXME. I've already started working on a fully-fledged scripting editor.

I must say that I really LOVE this tool to create tearins with. However there are still some serious bugs that make it very difficult to work with. Sometimes I add meshes and textures that are rendered fine and its working but when i save or export the map the save function tells me that some files can't be found and then my project gets corrupt.

There are also some serious crashes that happen in the program. (I have had them about 5 times and i have just used the tool for about 3hours.) This also makes the project impossible to save and the special menu function for example choosing textures to crash.  I can report a more detailed error and how it was achieved next time it happens because I will not stop using this too just because of some child sickness in the program Smiley

Congratz to a great world editor.

I'm relly interesting in this editor and i'm just standing on the edge of purchasing it.

Questions:
Can you create large terrains using multiple heightmaps?
does the export export into TV3D correctly or does it need playing with first
e.g flipping image files and changing rotations for mesh positioning.

I will make my decision by the end of the weekend.

Ok i was able to reproduce an error 3 times in a row here is how i did


Start a new project
Add a terrain
objects >add mesh
select the Grass.tvm as filename
select generationmode fromfile and hit yes
select alpharef 128 and alphatest true
under C-Textures select Stage0Tex = None
Terain > add vegetation
choose mesh1 and hit yes
choose terain terrain1
Now start draw some Vegetations
Now select to undraw vegetations and undraw some
Now try to select media > add
if it works try click on the terainmap
Now i defenetly crash

I hope you can resolve things like this errors.

I alos noticed that when you add vegetations and changes the height of the terrain the vegetaitions height aint recalculated with it. so the dissapear if you choose to raise the terrain.

Please create thumbnails from your screenshots.  :lol:
The "little" images on your website are ~400kb each (just scaled down in html).

Back from vacation!

MoonWolf: I'll get right on to fixing the errors you have been encountering. When you change the terrain, and want the vegetation to adapt, simply press the Refresh Object toolbar button while you have the vegetation selected.

And also, saving should never completely fail to save or load. Individual media items maybe, but not the whole thing. Are you sure that you are using the latest release version?

Lyrical: You can use multiple heightmaps, and it imports perfectly into TV using the loader. Thanks for the purchase!

sorry guys, again me..

when i try to play with the vb example i get this message:

the correct password was not set for this map or the file is corrupt?

i downloaded it twice... so the file should not be incorrupt..

what password does he use?
i edited the code and enter my beta key.. this is working. but what password does the map use?

XXL, I was sleeping Tongue Anyaway, I'll send you guys your licenses now.

About the C# loader sample, it should be pretty easy to convert from vb.net, but if not I"ll see what I can do.

And the reason that message is coming up is because you did not copy the DemoScene_Medieval.pxm from the PXM Loader folder to the DotNet\Sample Project\bin\x86\debug folder. Or the bin for the VB6 one if you are using that.

Sounds good. If you finish the C# conversion of the sample, can you send it to me so I can include it with the downoad?

i send the code when i am finished.. i also plan to make a german webpage about tv and c#.

just beginner tuts. i am a tv beginner.. i can program in c# but i have no 3d experiences....
