Hey hey...
I tried to use FRAPS and Adobe Premiere lately and made this little RealVideo video... it should be streamable but 56kers might want to download it Tongue

note; use Save Target As...
http://tfhtl.thebobs.org/Twenty-Four%20Hours%20to%20Live%20(VB.Net)/Other/Vid1.rm

this is a little teaser for the Map Maker I'm doing for a project I'm working on codenamed "Twenty-Four Hours To Live".... it's going slowly but well Smiley (and I'm NOT talking about the framerate ;P)

Enjoy!

Hahahaha  Cheesy
Well.... d'oh.

Indeed the link doesn't open but save target as works nicely... as Spike said. So do that if you care.
And as for RealPlayer, well... I tried outputting in QuickTime format and never got anything below 15mb or else it got all blocky and ugly, go figure. And I need a sound track to output WMV. And I don't have DivX Pro. And...
You get the picture.

I thought RealOne was still a pretty used format.... the compression's good for sure.

I agree, the video looks great, and the editor you have seems to have a high "ease of use" rating!  You planning on releasing it or lisenceing it at all?  Keep us posted mate!

Well the editor will be custom made for the game we plan to develop... so I doubt it will be released freely. But we'll see...
I'll keep you posted for sure, thanks alot for the interest you seem to show despite the .rm format used ;P

well it is

currently we can't move the objects with the drag-drop but only with the keyboards keys and everything is shown up by using f1, f2, f3, f4, f5

for example, f1 is to load a .3ds object, f2 is to show the skydome, f3 the lens flare, etc.

other keys are used to clone an object, rotate, ...
the problem is to select objects because we don't use the mouse so theres "select next" and "select last" if u understand

(i think we must use TVActor to use the mousepicking and we're still using TVMesh)

anyway zaknafein is working on this very hard and its getting better and better everyday!

it's currently a map editor for our future game TFHTL (Twenty Four Hours to Live) so we don't know yet if it will be released. we would need to make it more user-friendly with dialogs and ahhhh... too much work for now Smiley

if u want to know, i'm the one working with zaknafein for this project (currently not helping that much duh! i must learn vb.net language first :|)

Hell yeah! FRAPS is the only program that actually worked... here's the URL.
http://www.fraps.com/downloads.htm
The new version (2.0) has limitations and requires a processor with SSE support (which I don't have) but the old 1.9D version works well and supports older Athlons... Smiley
