And if it's not there, it should be!

The beta testing community has rallied together to reorganize and strengthen the TV3DWiki, a resource where all members of the TV3D community can share their knowledge of the engine with other users. The Wiki has always been there, but I'm eager to announce it in its newer, cleaner, more useful form.

Have a look, eh?

For experienced users, the Wiki is a fantastic way to learn about advanced techniques from other users, and a great way to help other users by sharing tutorials, advice, and other creations with the community.

For beginners to 3d programming with the TV3D engine, the Wiki is one-stop resource where you can probably find the answers to questions you didn't even know you had.

The new and improved TV3DWiki boasts new resource categories:

Getting Started - A collection of tutorials designed to help newcomers get TV3D working in their programming language of choice.
This section currently has a good number of languages supported, and we are in the process of cleaning up and standardizing the examples for easier reference.

Encyclopedia - A collection of frequently used terms, explained for newcomers to 3D programming and development.
The encyclopedia is one of the wiki's newest resources, and as it expands, we hope for it to evolve into an "Everything you need to know about anything" type of resource. At the time, we need to gather a list of terms to be explained, so if you have any ideas, feel free to let us know, or just post them right on the Encyclopedia page of the wiki!

Shared Tools and Assets - A collection of tools, code, and assets made by the TV3D community that you can plug in and use in your projects.
Another one of the wiki's new categories, the Shared Tools and Assets page is the place to put your finished creations if you think other TV3D users would benefit from using them. Perhaps you've created a fullscreen night-vision shader? A tool that converts from one file format to another? A library that allows users to save, load, and render map/level files? A character model that other players can use for playtesting? Whatever it is, share it here!

Books, Recommended and Reviewed - A collection of books that have been read, reviewed, and recommended by the TV3D community.
A recently restructured portion of the Wiki, the Recommended Reading section is where you can let other TV3D users know about a great book you've just finished: or warn them about a book you didn't like! If you've read something useful and think someone else might benefit from reading it, as well, post your reviews here!

Useful Links - A collection of useful links to external resources, such as tutorials, communities, and software.
This is the wiki's grab bag for loose articles, tutorials, communities, and software from all over the internet. If you know of any useful resources, and they don't fit into one of the other categories, put them here!

Tutorials, Articles, and Examples - A collection of articles written by TV3D community members that cover the many different aspects of developing with the TV3D engine.
The oldest and most used portion of the Wiki, the Tutorials section is where users can help other users understand the TV3D engine by guiding them via tutorials. If you like to write or teach, then spread your knowledge around!

Engine Documentation - Class and structure descriptions and enumerations that help explain how each aspect of the TV3D engine works.
This section is currently under heavy construction!

The Wiki is a community-driven resource. The more information we pour into it, the wider, deeper, and more useful it becomes! If you have any ideas for the Wiki, don't hesitate to let us know. And, most importantly, if you have anything that you can contribute to the Wiki, don't be shy!

Your contributions are coveted by the new members of this community and the advanced users alike. By spending a minute or two to preserve something useful on the wiki instead of just posting it on the forums to be forgotten with time, you make things easier for yourself and everyone else, later down the road!
