For those of you haven't upgraded to VS23K, here's how you can access the TV3D .NET tutorials, as well as the source for WorldCaster:
1. Open the solution file in (pick your favorite text editor). I use SrcEdit.
2. On line 1, change the "Format version" from "8.00" to "7.00"
3. Save and close the file.
4. Open the project file in (see step 1).
5. Find "ProductVersion" and change it from "7.1.3???" to "7.0.9466"
6. Beneath that, find "SchemaVersion" and change it from "2.0" to "1.0"
7. Save and close the file.
8. Open the solution file in VS2002!!!
You might have to repair some references, but this will get you started.
Good luck!!

There is a small program I found to do convert 2003 projects to 2002 projects and back without manual editing. You can get it at
http://codeproject.com/macro/vsconvert.asp
. It's written in C# and you can download the source code as well as the executable. I find it's much easier and faster to use the program than to manually edit every file that needs converting. From what I can tell, it seems to support all the files you would need to convert to open a project in VS.NET 2002. I don't know if it preserves references, but that's a small price to pay for the time and work it saves.

An alternate method....since some are using the VS.Net 2005 beta
Is to create a new project from scratch, not an empty project, but a new one, and then delete all the files from solution, then to copy the files from the tv3d project over into the folder, and then in IDE to add them to solution.
if the tv3d project has a winmain, use/create a new win32 project
if the tv3d proect is mfc based, use/create a new mfc dialog project

I'm still using C# in VS 2003, and frequently find myself unable to open VS 2005 projects. Anyone have a fix for this?
Thanks!
/Mike
