create mesh from 2d outline

[Fusion32]

Has anyone ever come across a method or process for creating a mesh "on the fly" from a 2d outline such as 2d dxf entity values?

I am handling basic square shapes ok, but need to to be able to create shaped components such as curved benchtops and corner cabinet shaped shelves.
I have googled myself stupid over this one without any enlightenment....
