This is a type of snow accumulation I cant say its the best method but its fast, and I get around 500-600 fps with 20 rancor.

This can be used for things other then snow, moss, dirt, its really for anything, but I needed it for snow. If you use this shader please give me credit.

Oh very nice !
I guess that you can also use lerp to switch smoothly between non snowy and snowy weather.
I would even use some kind of "noise texture" to make the snow appear randomly over the surfaces instead of just lerping.

Yes I use a seamless perlin noise texture, to randomize it a bit. Would be better if that texture was an animated perlin noise texture though..
