Thanks guys. Smiley

I intend to add a little element of gameplay in too it now. Collecting mass or something. Still thinking about it. It turns out it's next Monday that it has to be handed in and I've only clocked 20-25 hours so far. So I have a lot of time left in which I can add things and tweak it. Smiley

Added implosions. You can now pull junk toward you and drag it around etc.

you have such a way of making things looks so rediculously easy to do... until I try to do it for myself and figure how clever you are

This shows things from the closer cam more. I've also improved the lighting a bit I think. You will notice two huge spheres above the water. Ignore those, they are gravity spheres but they don't actually do anything yet - apart from sit there looking pretty. I'll explain more about them in a later post once I have them working. This is all 1280x1024 with 4xFSAA. The video was capped at 640x512, as I halved it in fraps.

Remember, the purple ones are repelled by the player ball.

That's an awesome demo, Arius.

I'd love to see the objects orbiting the gravity balls though, that would be the icing on the cake  Grin

Thanks guys.

They won't actually orbit it. That's not what I'm doing. Lookit.

I will post a video of it once it's fully rigged. Smiley

Finished water( see how it receives shadows now for proper depth perception etc ) and gravity balls( did better texturing cause it looked bad before )

Gravity balls are now finished. They become disabled after they have collected a certain amount of mass. After that there will be some collectable items, then job done Cheesy.

Here you can see the boundary for the gravity balls, which is basically their sphere of control. Aswell as some of the lighting coolness on the water. They don't have larger versions cause they were capped before I did the video. Second one doesn't have fps counter for some reason - it was about 7fps due to all the physics objects moving in that pile.

In the video you can see me disable a gravity sphere( aswell as what happens when I get too close to an active one ).

Well, this is pretty much done. I added the collectables yesterday morning, which appear once you've disabled the gravity balls. It's due on Monday and I don't have the time to do all the things I wanted to do over this weekend( due to some personal stuffs, see: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/somerset/7365575.stm   - my kid brother, he's doing fine now though, was released from hospital yesterday and is staying with me whilst he recovers ). Due to that I've pretty much just bashed out the simplest settings app I could.

As you can see, it's really basic.

It'll be released tommorow or Monday morning. Smiley

If you get "class not registered" errors then run "installme.bat".

Incredible work Arius. The graphics are top notch, and the physics work great too. Also, the music is nice in the background.

Brilliant 9/10, the only thing i can see missing is the ability to rotate the camera view up/down as i wanted to see the gravitational ball better, maybe a better job for mouse rotation ?, other than that, well done.

Hey sarge to move the camera up and down it should be R and F also you can zoom in by hitting the number 5 and zoom back out by using 4..

There may have been issues with this on non-ATI cards.

I've fixed and reupped it to here: http://azazeldev.org/gd_fixed.rar

The issue was in shader model version. Some ATI cards supports ps2_b, which allows for extra instructions and some other junk. NVIDIA equivalent is ps2_a. Anyway, I had it set to ps2_b when I was testing and forgot to change it back to just ps2_0. Anybody that had issues on non-ATI hardware should download the fixed version from above.

Hey,

I did see a improvement in speed and thought i might post the following that i found.

When i hold a combination of ("W", "D" & "I") it won't rotate the camera to the right.

I don't know if this is something you done or not, but i think when you hold ("I" || "O") with ("P") then release one of the two ("I" || "O"), it shouldn't remove the blur effect.
