That's very impressive! Great job with the head movement, and I love that you're actually blocked by the helmet you wear. Grin
Keep it up, this is clearly one of the few great TV3D projects!

Unbelievably realistic!
The first person view is simply the most realistic I ever saw, even in non-hobbyists games. Top quality!

Good luck and continue posting your progress Wink

He was JUST talking about the camera view  Grin of course we can't have graphical quality of a game who was made using 10 millions USD  Tongue. Thanks anyway for your positive feedback  Smiley

ps: What's the title you don't like Holy War or Deus Vult? (or both  Tongue), if you guys have a nice title just propose I'm really stuck at this  Grin

lol who cares about the name when youve got a game like that Grin
Man thats an amazing mixture of code and animation put together so tightly. I thought I was watching a scripted cinematic or something.

Great job! Im looking forward to seeing more of this as it develops.

An Holy war is not only muslim's Jihad... it's any war justified by religion.

As Crusades were holy wars, i think Holy War is an appropriate name.

The excuse for muslims to start a war (religion).

As i said before, all continents were constructed on holy wars debris and all religions had an holy war begun.

Well the game isnt called Holy War. It's only the codename of it before I found a title : Deus Vult (not sure thou, it can change if I find another better title  Tongue)

Thanks Valcriss  Smiley

Edit: I'm muslim. And if you continue Aurora, I'll launch a JIHAD against you *evil laugh*  Cheesy

lol

anyway, the camera appears realistic but maybe it shakes too violently to be able to see combat at all times? in realistic conditions you'd turn your head with the shaking and be able to move your eyes a bit, so i dont know. but it looks awesome still. i'm just not sure that the animation is based on procedural code (ie sword always stabs thru the heart if he is on the ground) or, more likely, is a fixed animation and it just so happens that it sometimes stabs in the right place?? if its procedural, ie bones adjusted in realtime anim, then whoa!! Cheesy

Yeah for the camera, we're working to fix it (we created a special bone in the skeleton to hold the camera, and we're editing all anims now). And for the animation, it's 90% of animation and 10% of code (maybe less). What were are doing is just to align the attacker and the defender in a smooth and not very noticeable way, each frame (the result is good, it looks most of time the same way, it's also the fact that the attacker needs to be most of the time facing the defender, and if its not facing it, we play another animation depending of the angle, we have 8 anims so far, so 8 angles) and since anim is long, we always have the final attack occurs at the same position in the body. But it needs some debugging and lot of trials and test. It's for that I added (WIP) in the video title.

Thanks Lenn  Smiley
