Hey guys...

So... I'm happily coding away, and I use this nifty little shader on my planet, to make a cute little atmosphere, shader loads up, I see it when I run my little project and all is well.

Now I need to brag to my friends Wink so I send them my project, and when they run it, the shader doesn't load - I check the debug.txt:
SHADER MANAGER : Error, file not found '1.fx'

and the file is there, and is loading fine on my system, I try on 3 other computer I have, and they all work fine, so I'm thinking it's his laptop that's messed up Wink

However, I try creating a fresh virtual machine, with WinXP SP2, and I get the same error. Can anyone point me in a direction?

it's maybe not the FX file that is not found, but maybe a dll.
Make sure you have D3DX9_31.dll somewhere, or use TV.SetEffectCompileMode true before compiling the effect.

thx alot Wink

I figured it was prolly a dll or something, but I didn't know about the SetEffectCompileMode method, worked like a charm Wink
