Hi All

We require an experienced TV3D programmer / 3D artist with VB6 or C# experience.

The project is a commercial gaming system that is currently sold worldwide.

Erm.. is this a "real" job? I mean one that pays wages and everything..  If so how could I find more information about the job/project (web site, whatever). Oh, and one last thing.. is Redditch south of birmingham or did I got this one wrong? Thanks in advance,

I thought there was a post a while back that said you can't make and sell a gaming "system" according to the tv3d license.

Could you explain what you mean by "Gaming System"?  Just curious. No problem if you can't.

Maybe I should have read the licence properly.  Our gaming system isn't an arcade style machine.  It would be properly described as a 'Training Aid' / Smulator.

You can see the prototype at www.x-golf <DOT> net

Perhaps one of the TV admins can answer this?  Please?

[Edit]

Just read the license.txt included with our licensed copy of TV.  It makes no mention of gaming system or anything similar.

Anyway, we could: 1.  Use another engine or 2.  Buy the company!

I don't think they're for sale. Though, ofcourse it depends how much you have to offer Smiley

Yea, no problem with this type of game for the license.

Jeff was talking about a sort of product that would be used to make games, like if someone wanted to make a MMORPG game creator with TV3D Smiley

Sylvain is correct, and I actually remember speaking with you about this project quite some time ago.  Glad to see things are moving along, and I am sure there are many people who would be eager to work with you on this.  Keep us informed!

That's exactly the other of the two most scaring issues with TV3D (the other is called "hit by a bus" - god forbid that !! :-)).

At Dec 5 2002 i wrote in this forum:

You have told me that you will work on TV forever : ) and that's just fine thank you. But lets see what happens when some company offers you 100k in a year or a few. And get married, have kids and Volvo stationwagons.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the intentions shown so far. But i have seen/been in/done technology takeovers. Two of which hit me quite close; happened not long ago with the vendors of the APL language i use. Cognos, the worlds largest vendor of budgeting systems, bought APL2000 to secure their technology for their financial systems, and Danish-German-Italian group bought the vendor of Dyalog APL, which i use, to secure the technology for leading European insurance systems.

A takeover is not necessarily all negative... but i am not sure i'd like to see TV3D biased towards golf :-).
