HI all... wow nice new updated TV site and nice to see TV being updated...

Some of you may remember me but i doubt it.. only posted a couple of times on the previous site...

Basically im looking to set up a team for a game project the team will be a democracy on the games creation, apart from the actual game to be created is set..

The Project "as yet not named".

My original concept was written over 14 years ago and worked as a email turn based game which i created on my amiga and played with friends, the game then was very simple and is currently being re-written and re-structured with additions of new elements of game ive played over the years, its a turn based hotseat multiplayer space strategy game, the original was set for up to 100 ppl the 3d game will be set to a max of 20 depending on the way it works..the closest game example i can think was called stars! although it was a 2D game created in the mid 90's, ive looked around at poorly made clones and none even hits close, my game has 5x the content of stars! and an awesome combat system (battletech/silentdeath crossover), in 3D... well need i say more...

The game will be written with VB to keep things easy since im not trying to hit an performance landmarks, content is the key for this game.

I my self will be doing >

Written docs, game system creation and structure, informational files.
Game database content programming.
3D graphics creation and programming.
2D GUI graphics and programming.

Although i know i can handle the above, anyone with good VB & TV3D programming experience and understanding.
Anyone with 2D/3D graphics abilities will be welcome due to the high content requirement.

Basically im looking for a core team and others who will float, Sry but i cant pay you but if the game is completed and sold then im sure equal share's of profits would be arranged..

People im looking for and willing pay.

Programmer/s with multiplayer "know how" to create the base server/client hotseat part along with information of game data communication.. take note that ive not learned this my self yet and as a point since im going to be doing alot of game content i will need easy understandable information on sending an receiving the game idata and how to program for this.

(later in development)Programmer/s with experience of projectiles and strict'ish collision detection. (not really needed, but it i would like to see a clever graphical combat system instead of the basic point to point detection i can create)

I will start some programming test templates in about 2 months, high priority with the client/host system and graphics options, so if you would like to join the team or just help me out then plz contact me at.

Martin_radomski@yahoo.co.uk

oooh yeah if anyone has got any good links to creating VB & TV3D multiplayer game tutorials can u send them to me kthx.

keep cooking all....

We are still looking for people..

Modelers...fancy making some space ships in your free time ? 20 odd per type, low polys, no animation required..free donuts ?

Skin artists...skinning the ships...free donuts ?

VB Programmers....free donuts ?

Anyways ill post up some images at some point (of free donuts jk) may persuade some more people.

This isint a pressure project, im not looking for full time workers, just kind of a part time project (well i work full time on it) plus i dont think making games should be stressfull, making a game should be as fun as playing it.

yea ....

But it will get stressing... When you enter final stages and need to optimize your huge code and then make everything run just fine for your game AND good for gameplay.... Thats a hard job that could stress you very hard....

But when its finished, you'll have fun playing it Wink

if your looking for a good client/server model, take a look at the ORE engine at http://www.baronsoft.com

I know your not makin an mmorpg, so ORE isn't *exactly* what you would need.. but it's a good start in the right direction (the network structure is really easy to understand)

thx Blindside

will have a gander at that Smiley

altho ive decided to  keep the game single player atm..i hope its not to hard to edit later at some point, its turn based so i dont have to fling packets every time something changes, just one big end of turn packet.
