In the amatuer arena the best you can do to keep overhead costs minimul is skill swapping just make sure you get what you bargained for. For example - I can do modeling, motion capture, 2d GUI Art, web design & hosting, but my TV3D skills are rusty - I would be willing to trade services - if anyone felt it was worth their time.

I am not really looking to build a game or build a team. What I am interested in is building a section of my site dedicated to spotlighting Talent - Bios, Portfolios, Skills. This section woul also include Game Engine Reviews and since I have been a fan of TV3D for a while - I wanted to prove that TV3D was a viable game development tool. I can tell from the contest idea it is bad idea. If you would be interested in being reviewed - please email me.

I like your overall concept - which is similar to what I want to do - The game engine is only part of the game development process - I wanted to also spotlight Art - Textures & Models - and the artists themselves. Then I want to discuss the business end of the development cycle - project management, negotiating contracts, design documentation, etc. etc.

I have the power render engine and the web engine active x. I was surprised there wasn't much interest in it - a ton of potential. I am currently reviewing a new engine. I think you will find it promising. It is currently a hush - thing but give me a month and I should be able to share it with you.

I degress - TV3D I believe has a lot of potential - I have also seen a couple of decent models in the screenshots  - so I am looking forward to trying to spotlight the people who want to be showcased.

You've got me confused.  First you were talking about skill swapping, and now you're talking about a website?
