I have been working on a game for several years now, and have completely redesigned it several times.  I decided about a year ago to pick it back up because I feel that technology has gotten to the point where it is possible, and that I am now fully capable of performing the tasks that would be required to make a game.

So, here is the deal.  I cannot explain too much about the game because I intend on making it a for sale thing.  If you have any questions, I will answer them as best as I can.

The game itself will be a space based MMO (I know, I know, everyone wants to do this..  I have been thinking about this before MMO was a real idea), has a persistent universe, an infinite technology tree system which will involve a pretty massive crafting system, and a large story line.

Before you ask how much has been programmed, let me tell you:  Very little.  There is a good reason for this, I want to work with a team from start to finish so that we can work together and toss ideas off of each other.  I have done a lot of experiments and proof of concepts.  The good news is I have a fairly large design document outlining several ideas I would like to see in the game.  The best part is, I am very open to ideas and am willing to change ideas that I already have.

So, now, what I am looking for…
I would like to find a few individuals that are good with programming / shader development.  It would also be a bonus if you are a free thinker and like to come up with new ideas.  Another positive thing would be that you like coming up with stories and ways to make them interactive.  And last but not least, you develop meshes and textures.  I put that one last because of the nature of this game.  You will understand if you become a part of it.  I am only looking for a few people to join the team, so that it is easier to manage.  Also, anyone that joins will have rights to an equal share of the game profits.

A little about me…
I am a full time programmer at the moment for a web development firm.  I have been programming for about 15 years in various languages and am almost done with my CS degree.  Game programming is a fairly new venture for me, but I have a LOT of experience in project management.  Recently my company has started developing games, and I lead the group in that field.  I also have a lot of experience in UI design and testing.  With that comes an understanding of usability (been doing usability testing for several years).  I have been working with TV for a little under a year at the moment, so I will admit I have a lot to learn.  Good news is, I love to learn new things!!  And above all, I have morals and am a honest guy.

Also, as a side note..  If someone is running a similar project, I wouldn’t mind merging projects!  I just want to get this idea out of my head and into the game market!!
