I need to price out MMORPG code for game project I have been contracted for. I am outsourcing this project. Animations must be skeletal, I need to know what model formats the code is using, I need to see working sample of your code. The art resources I will provide in the format you specify is already coded. The demo should be superior quality. Price should commensurate with quality of demo. Email: projects@tekbydesign.comOnly serious inquiries.

Maybe I am not wording this correctly. Looking for Demo for MMORPG, this is a paid contract - not a favor, or be part of wannabe team. This is a funded project that you will be responsible for producing - it is all based on your bid for the project and the qulaity of work you can provide. If this community is not interested in being contracted to produce a published game title then fine. I will outsource elsewhere.

Ok, maybe I can shed a bit of light on this. What you are asking for will require a team of at least 10 programmers, and a 2 year development time (and that's for the basics). You're looking in the area of about $500,000+ per year of development, and that doesn't include hardware, and software licensing costs.
I used to do contract MMORPG development, but I generally only contracted for parts of the code. I used to get close to $250k for a 6 month turnaround, and that was for networking only.
Hopefully this explains why you're looking in the wrong place. You'd be better off posting on a contractor website, at which time you'll begin to see the real cost of having something like this developed.

Thank You. I knew the costs were in that neighborhood.

If you have a budget of roughly 1 million dollars (Dr. Evil!) you could probably afford this: http://www.bigworldtech.com/Otherwise you're probably looking at something written using Conitec's engine by someone who doesn't know what they are doing, and claims their engine can support 250,000 players. That was a dig at someone on the GameDev forums, but the way.

I'd be pleanty happy to switch my team over to do this for you, but I doubt that anyone just has a fully working MMORPG demo laying around or near completion.

You could always download Quazal's Eterna networking SDK or Rakkarsoft's RakNet, and write your own using TV3D.
Search Google for their websites.
I think if you have to ask such a question on these forums, which are not specifically geared towards MMPOGS, then you are probably in over your head. If you really knew what you were doing and looking for, you would have search through Google, Gamasutra and others and found either what you were looking for or indication that you need to try something smaller.
As another example, you could license the Torque engine and shoe-horn a different networking SDK in there. It's doable but judging from earlier attempts, it's very difficult.
