need program help

can u plz tell me what programs to use to make models and menu's?

I stick to the basics myself. mspaint maybe paintshop 8 occationally for textures. milkshape for models... it is small and fast which I like over other programs I have tried. You can just as easily use TV to create various types of models and I'm sure the new tools will support full creation but I hear that won't be for a while.
