For a while now I have been playing morrowind every now and then.  I was wondering... hmm what would it be like to have a multiplayer game like morrowind with several players able to walk around the world?  I think having up to 8 players in the game would make it more exciting and more replayable.

I need some really dependable but chill people for this project.   I'm not saying your going to have to work 40 hours a week and do reports and junk.  I just need a little assistance or this game is going to take 4 years to complete.

Currently I need..

1 or 2  -  3d Artists
1 or 2  -  2d Artists  ( not entirely needed but if anyone was interested...? )
1         -   Programmer

Since the game is rather small, and isn't going to be one of those crazy mmorpgs, I've decided to go with directplay as my network engine.   I have basic client/server classes already written for testing.   As I am really in need for a nice working region editor.

If anyone would like to help at all... Please send me an email [ Ezikial(at)usa.com ]

The basic layout of the game is a continious landscape with each landscape being a "region."   Each region will store entities, meshes, and grass/other sub-objects.  The server will only update AI in active regions to save cpu.  On startup the server loads the "Server Output" from the world/region editor which will export all of the npc positions/dynamic objects and entities that will be included in the game.   I have it rather though out.. I just need a team and some input from others.

That is somewhat of a summary of how the game could be...

(hope I don't get flamed for this)

Don’t start like this, I suggest you create small game for the start, like.. landscape, some models, and 1 monster fight between you and the monster.

Then you can start thinking about rpg.

I agree, unless you have build games like this before, just build some small demos/proofs of concept  first.  Then do a game when you feel you are ready. Otherwise you will just give-up like most others.

This would be something that you need to explain a little more what people will actually get if they help you, and what you are looking to get out of the project.

I'd help, but then again, I've already got what you want as the foundation of my project, so that really wouldn't be much use for me to help.

I want to make a puzzle with like 40,000 pieces, and when it's done, it says "Go Outside"

good luck on your prjoect. It will take a lot of time and persistance but keep at it, don't be discouraged. It sounds like a good project and at the least you will learn a lot.
