Hi! I found a free model of an old radio (exactly what I needed) on a web page, but after I downloaded it, and tried to convert it into TVM, I didn't succeed in doing that. I used the plugin, which is for 3dsmax 2010. It converted the model, but without its textures. And before that, I rendered the model in 3dsmax, and then there were textures. I don't know, what could be the problem... Can anybody help me? Here is the link: https://www.the3dstudio.com/product_details.aspx?id_product=71933You must to register to download it, but I think it's worth it, because you can find a lot of free models there.

Make sure you use only Standard material and set the texture as Diffuse map.
Also make sure you use UVW1 coordinates.

Thanks for the help, Mithrandir! I really appreciate it! But I don't know much about using 3dsmax. Usually I use it to open files and save them to another extension. I tried to do that, what you wrote, but I didn't succeed. I can't find those options. Please, could you explain a little more how can I do that?

Hi, I'm a Milkshape3D user and don't have 3dsmax. What file version did you download? If it's a version that MS3D can load I'll see if I can convert it with that. When I make a .TVM file I generally have to put a copy of the models texture in the same folder, I load the model from to get the texture to appear on the model. Does 3dsmax work the same? Available files and versions • Autodesk FBX (.fbx) - 807Kb • Lightwave (.lwo, .lw, .lws) - 325Kb • Object (.obj) - 712Kb • Softimage (.hrc, .xsi) - 1.5Mb • Other (see description) - 2.6Mb <-- Textures

Yes Otherwise you have to load the textures manually.

Team-R, Did you download the OldRadioTextures.zip Size: 2.6Mb from the last download listed on the page too? When you downloaded the model? If you didn't you need both.

Yes, I downloaded them too. And there are textures on the model, when I render it in 3dsmax, but after I export it to TVM there aren't any textures. I don't know why, but sometimes it happens, when I try to convert models. I converted many models, and there wasn't any problem with most of them, but sometimes the textures were missing in the TVM file. There were cases, when only few textures were missing, but sometimes all of them. It is quite annoying.

What file version did you download?
I downloaded the FBX and OBJ files, because I can open those in 3dsmax. And both of them appeared normally with textures in 3dsmax, when I rendered them. I don't know those other extensions and the applications they can be opened in, so I didn't try to do anything with them.

Have you tried putting copies of the textures in the same folder that the TVM is being loaded in from? I have to do that with all of the tvm's I've made so far or the textures don't show up on the model.

Yes, I always do that. And usually I do that before the exporting, so when I save the TVM file in the destination folder, there are the textures already. And when I saw in TV3D that the textures are missing, I checked if I forget to put the textures to the same folder. But there were the textures, so there is other problem.

It should be in the TV65 Plugin folder in the sdk, say's 3dsmax 2010 right on the folder. C:\Program Files\TV3D SDK 6.5\plugins
