Hi,

I am considering hiring someone to program the game skeleton for me, what I want to know is who would do it, how much they would do it for and how long it would take.

I am looking at a 3rd person type game, in all respects similar to world of warcraft, but obviously nothing like it.  It wouldn't be a mmorpg.  I would like it to be LAN/Internet capable, however I know that it might cost more, so if someone could give prices with and without that would be great.
I would want everything ready to implement a game from scratch.  So scripting editors to make quests, storys, how I want the models to be defined, sounds, music.  Basically an entire game without the content.  I will want to add this myself.

If it works out easier to get someone to program me my game then some sort of contract can be worked out.

Also if you are interested in doing this please give experience and any other projects you have done (screenshots/websites).

I shall be going on holiday in a few days, so please forgive no replys, but I will check when I get back (24th aug)

Thanks

Illusion.

Why not simply go with an existing game engine and create a mod e.g. for TES:Oblivion or The Witcher, these games supply a base for all the things you need and ship with their editors.

If you want to create a "real" game it would be much easier to assemble a whole team, because I don't think that anyone will create a whole framework and then simply give it to you for some money, and if I think this won't be very cheap. Most professional frameworks cost multiple tenthousands of dollars/euros.

Well, I can make a bit of deal.

I am still learning to use TV3D 6.5.

I am looking for a job much like yours. I am not interested in making a whole lot of money, just enough to get a new computer and start working with TV3D 6.5 professionally.

I have various months of programming experience. If you are interested, you can contact me at:

Hi there,

I am currently available and looking for my next project.
I have a small team (2 of us) for games development. My graphics man did some of the 3D models for the online multiplayer parts of Call Of Duty 4. I have access to other resources like music developers, flash and web developers, and other bits and bobs as and when I need them.

We are due to kick off a new game for the iPhone over the next couple of months but I am nervous on learning to program on a Mac heheh. Plus I have heard the API and dev environment is a little clunky.
Anyways I am fairly proficient now in TV3D 6.5 I have written a couple of games for the PC. One is an FPS Sim City type education thing and the other was a wiimote punching game connecting the wiimotes to the PC via bluetooth.

I also know the XNA fairly well in case you wanted a game that ran on the 360 also (widens the market a bit).

Like others say though, (standing back and sucking through me teeth) - Its gonna cost ya. There will obviously be a final price from me once details are tied down, but my first estimate for something through to completion is it is going to cost £10,000 minimum.

Anyway please feel free to contact me if you want to talk a little more and see what we can do for you.

Cheers,

Lindsay.
