Hi everyone,
Like said on the
showcase topic long time ago, we are rewriting entirely the game engine of the project because the previous core programmer used ctrl+ paste method and the program can't be evolved that much without breaking near everything (refactoring was a failure).
I'm still a newbie with TV3D and I'm frequently stopped by behavior I don't understand and don't know if it's normal or if I messed up something (for example it's 2 week I have a black screen and dunno if this in normal or if I missed something important >_>).
So the help of an experienced dev will be really handy.
What you'll have to do:- first of all, you'll have to help me to implement the 3D managment part of the game engine (based on TV3D6.5). The main design of this part is still made and it remains the hardest part (how to fill up the classes).
- later on, we will need your help to increase the 3d managment performances
What you have to know:- Pentacles'Mayhem is a game made by French people organized onto an "Association loi 1901". All the documentation is in french (Game Design document, Technical Design document and dev. forum), and maybe there will be no money to gain in this project ever. So you HAVE to understand french quite well.
- Programming language is C#, we also use LUA scripts and XML (the main program is an "interpreter").
- The team counts 10 members:
3 programmers : me (also game designer and lead of the project), charly (working on FMOD, used as the sound engine) and Hef (a LUA programmer in charge of the bridge C#-LUA)
1 sound maker
1 artworker
1 2d designer
4 3d designer (only 1 experienced and 3 rookies)
- This game is our hobby, we never ask you to do more work and we have objective and no deadlines. Most of us work less than 10 hours a week on the project.
