Have you always wanted to work on a game?
Have you got some skills in 3D-modeling?
Then this might be something for you..
I am currently working with the concept of a new game that I am willing to create, but as you might have understood by now, I am not good at all in 3D-modeling!
I know the basics in 3ds max 6 and I know how to modify characters and such, but I need someone that does the big work in 3D.
More about the game:
The game (as I drawn it up in my head) will focus very much on how the models move and realism. Call it a combat simulator if you like.
The surroundings will be very much like the surroundings in the upcoming game; STALKER (
www.stalker-game.com, please see the screenshots).
The soldiers will have a little underground-soldier-style, almost alittle guerilla-like.
The sounds of the weapons will have a important part as they will not sound like a f***ing screwdriver or something (typical example is Counter-Strike). Weapons when shooting IS loud, so thats how it will be. The gunfire from your own carbine should take all other sounds out of focus and with that, I hope to in some way create alittle realism.
How you will be able to move, will, as I already mentioned, be a essential part of the game. I want the soldiers to move like in real combat, and with that I mean that they shouldnt run around like robots and just shoot-crouch-shoot-stand up again-start running again and so on. I want to make the soldier move realistic from e.g. crouching to standing up smoothly.
I should also mention that the game will most probably be freeware, but it will be a pretty good resumé to show a complete work (if we reach that stage).
I can also mention that it will most probably be coded in Visual Basic 6.0, but if it wont be enough, I can create it in C++ although i havnt got as long experience with that language!
Ive been working with Visual Basic 6 for about 5 years and C++ for only a year.
I hope to make this game a Reality!
