Title: Model animation conversion bug for MDL to TVA
Post by: bbence on November 15, 2010, 12:32:07 PM
Hi,

I have a small problem with the MDL conversion to TVA.
Some of the animations will contain keyframes in which the models are off in some places, but in not all of the keyframes:
In Half Life model viewer the original MDL (for some reason the recording is a bit strange, but it still shows that in HL model viewer it looks okay):
http://www.meltingpot.hu/data/hlmv-20101115-1817040.avi (http://www.meltingpot.hu/data/hlmv-20101115-1817040.avi)
And after conversion in ModelView:
notice that there are keyframes where the mesh "jumps" up and then it returns to the "normal" position

Any ideas? :)

Thanks!
Bence

Hard to say.
Is there anything about a Root translation in the model (or in the description of the animation). All the rotations and other translations seem to be ok
I remember there were some flags for root translation.
