Title: BindToActor and ImportAnimations
Post by: pculliton on November 14, 2009, 06:43:44 PM
I'm using the latest .NET wrapper and C#.  Two issues I'm seeing:

1) Running ImportAnimations after loading the TVA for a TVActor causes an access violation.  I suspect it's an issue with the TVA itself, but there are no indications of trouble in the debug.txt file and it loads / renders when I don't attempt to import animations.

2) Attempting to BindToActor simply causes the child actor to disappear.  There are matching bones.  I've tried using RenderAllActors() and also tried rendering the child actor on its own.  When not bound the child actor loads and renders just fine.  Is there something I'm missing?

I may be able to provide the TVAs if necessary.

Found that BindToActorEx isn't working either.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

Edit: Models and code snippets were sent 11/16.

BindToActorEx code:
Code:

int [] bone_ids = new int [this.weapon.GetBoneCount()];

for (int i = 0; i < this.weapon.GetBoneCount(); ++i) bone_ids[i] = -1;

bone_ids[this.weapon.GetBoneID("WeaponLeft")] = this.actor.GetBoneID("WeaponLeft");
bone_ids[this.weapon.GetBoneID("Weapon")] = this.actor.GetBoneID("Bip01_R_Hand");

this.weapon.BindToActorEx(this.actor, 2, bone_ids);

In theory this should work, yes?
