Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if TV 6.5 is on active developement or not please?

I like TV and I'm thinking of buying it to develope a company product but I need to know that this engine is here to stay.

Also, if I purchase TV 6.5 beta and start the developement on it before the public release, will I be able to update to the final release with minimum code changes?

Hope you can help!

Thanks

6.5 is under very active development -- with things being fixed daily on all fronts.

At this point the API is pretty static, and shouldn't be changing much.  (Only bug fixes at this point, and wrapper fixes when they are found.)  I don't see too much of a problem in going from 6.5 closed beta to the prerelease or final version...

Thanks darqSHADOW,

There's only one last thing I need to know!

If needed...Do you have support packages for companies or something similar?

Once I decide to purchase your engine license my company will depend on it completely.

I will have to learn TV and stick to it for good + translate all the code to TV!!!

We are currently using a Free Engine for the software but we need a commercial one and TV is the best one i've found PLUS it supports DELPHI Too!

This is all I need to know!

Thanks and Congrats for such a great product Smiley

Thanks for the warm words, it helps when you work hours like we do sometimes.  Wink

I am in the process of developing an "always on call" and "per incident" support system for our larger companies.  With the new release of the website these options will become available.  The support such as this gives you direct access to the TV3D development team (beyond normal IRC chat help), and this opens up the ability to get custom builds made if an issue is found, without having to wait for the weekly/biweekly updates.

Don't forget TV's exceptionally active community - in the event neither Sylvain nor Darq are available, you're more than likely going to get the help you need from another user.

I can't stress enough the importance of IRC as a resource =)
