More generally, this is very impressive, and when I get some time, I'll surely have to have a proper in-depth read through all of this, as it seems there is a lot of new tips and tricks I could learn here. Thanks for sharing it all with us.

That means that I am running windows server 2008 as my desktop and it's IE did not display the RSS feed tag. which is FTL (for the lose!)

I know its been quite a while, but I've been able to increase the precision of the whole shadow mapping stuff by using a linearized depth distrubition and a better crop matrix while enclosing the casting objects within the view frustum. See for yourself:


Note the self-shadowing! Smiley

But since you work so hard on such a great shadow system, why put them so faint and light?! I'd make them much more visible than that! Cheesy
