The problem doing it that way, is that the track or road can't be changed afterwords. Part of the idea is, that it can be removed, or changed later on. So instead of there being a 2-lane road, it changes to a 4-lane road. Or maybe they don't want the route anymore, so the road is removed.
Tracks, on the other hand, need the raised rails for realism.

I've dealt with two issues now. Got the FPS up to between 160 and 200fps, even with a section of spline laid & the locomotive in the scene. And, I've got the train following the track perfectly, both on the horizontal and the vertical angle. I guess all that trig stuff we learned in high school came in handy afterall :twisted:
I've also finally got the website into some sort of order. I've got a few earlier screenshots up available, as well as the forum.
