yey for space games!!! Cheesy Buy oly crap man! That looks AWESOME! After waking up from that shock millions of questions came to me. But for your sake (and also to minmize my n00bness) I widdled them down to three questions:

1. What did you do to make the planet have atmosphere on only the lighted side? (e.g. http://www.gabereiser.com/sshot8.jpg ) Please only theory or pusedo code, TV3D code would not help me.

2. How did you do the specs flying by?

3. What type of game will this be? Realistc Space Sim? Space Combat? :?:

Space games rule. Awesome screenshots aeon. The background looks perhect. The earth itself is nice, and I like the bump mapping. The only thing missing is the clouds in the earth's atmosphere. Oh, one more thing, where is Maralok supposed to be? I was never good in geography...

Keep up the good work, it is time to show to these aliens invaders who is the boss Smiley

Erm, that is not the earth, even tho the part you see sort-of looks like the middle east, it is not. Maralok I is most likely the first planet in the Maralok system and thus not a real place at all. Wink

galaxy hit it dead on the nose.  Maralok is a system, and that planet (Maralok I) is the first of 5.

As for the atmosphere, this planet has no clouds (it does, but very scarse and you can't see them).

As for the atmosphere, TV6.5 has the ability to use FX shaders.  It's a falloff just like you would make in 3d studio max, only this one is blueish for this particular planet.

The little star specs flying by,
some things must be kept a secret but it's not hard, if you give it some theory.

And finally, the game type.  It is going to be an online space combat sim (with a little trade and a little manufacturing and mining). But the main feature is it's a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants space combat sim.  Only, large business' (what we know as guilds) can control capitol ships, stations, and even planets and systems

Ah, awesome! Good luck on the online part! Smiley Someday I'm going to learn networking and how to make online games, but for now it's offline.

Sadly Blitz3D has no such thing as fall off. Cry So I guess I'll just have to do it the same way I did it before... >.<

Wow...that's looking amazing!
Also, the background now is much nicer with the fewer star "specs".
