Hey Guys,

Hope u r having a nice day.

I am getting different results on different machines running my application. My application allows users to place doors on walls. To create doors and walls, I use the AddWall3D function. I place the door inside the wall mesh and apply texture.

While testing my application on different systems, I find that on some machines the door is displayed and on some it isn't. To reconfirm I commented the code which draws the wall so that only doors are drawn. Still no success, the doors are not drawn.

I double checked and the AddWall3D for the door is getting called. I cant find the reason why it is now shown on some machines. Any guess where I must have made a mistake?

Regards

Look in the debug file to see if the texture you are applying to the door is actually being loaded.

Thanks for your replies asia and serial

After spending a lot of time playing and adjusting different settings I found that the line door.ComputeNormals() which was placed after door.SetLightingMode(...) was causing the problem. I placed SetLightingMode after the ComputeNormals line and I can see the door.

It is funny that it worked perfectly on some other machines.
