This is something like how I got started... good job so far.
Here are some tips you'll thank me for later.
1. Invest some good money in a great website. If you know your way around html, you can probably purchase a nice, grabby, template on the web. Make it look amazing and the sales will start coming in.
2. Make darn sure your META tags and page indexing are on every page of your website. Otherwise your Google, Yahoo, etc. rank wont go anywhere.
3. Making link friends is good. Posting your link on as many sites (as appropriate) is good too.
4. Keep the content coming, keep your site growing, and sooner or later you will be noticed. If you are lucky you will grab the eye of a Google hound. Rumor is there is a whole department dedicated to ranking good, catchy, websites.
5. Finally, quality. Spend the extra time. Don't take too many shortcuts.
