PC/xbox360/ps3

WOW!   Shocked

I remember the first one which was fun and had a cool single player campaign but the game had its share of bugs, AI issues and horrible netcode.  But the new one (not developed by Bohemia Interactive anymore... now their old publisher Codemasters is working on it together with Sony using their Neo Engine.

I havent played games in so long. I only promised myself to try portal this year, but didn't. Oops.. Now, the only 3 games I want to try in the future are gta4, fallout 3 and operation flashpoint 2. I think they're going to be the only good ones around. Apart from the strategy games i always play. Wink

I used to play OF a lot, made a huge multiplayer mission once which I then played out with 10 people on LAN. It was fun, and i kicked butt. Smiley

Actually it was called Neon, and I don't believe Sony are involved in the development of OFP2.

See http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=16528

I got credits for working on DIRT and GRID  Grin

Oh boy, I always thought that the graphics engine of DIRT and GRID was awesome! What did you work on?

Hrm.  More proof that words on Wikipedia shouldn't be taken as gospel.

From this interview
http://interviews.teamxbox.com/xbox/2303/Operation-Flashpoint-2-Dragon-Rising-Interview/p1/

Some of the more recent screens released for the game are pretty impressive graphically. What engine are you using, and what else can you tell us about the technology that’s powering Dragon Rising?

Clive Lindrop: We are using our in-house engine called Ego. You would’ve seen this engine most recently in DiRT and GRID. It’s a very powerful next-gen engine that has been in development for a number of years now. The advantage of committing all this energy into our own tech is we can custom build major engine components for our titles, an example being the terrain systems we use in Operation Flashpoint 2.

Not the graphics, the audio.

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=A8qOBUiDTs8  <-- an Armed Assault 1 mod looks amazingly realistic but allot of it i think is the way it's been edited and maybe gone through some post processing too.

and of course Armed Assault 2 is looking good

I love the FPS camera early on in the AA2 vid... moves like a real camera strapped to the helmet. I wonder if that's actual gameplay camera or part of some intro movie or something.

Watching these vids is kinda depressing...  you really need a big budget to pull of visuals like this. *sigh*
