I hope I'm not going to be flamed for that Cheesy

"When you have a clear picture, you have TrueVision3D"... hmmm I looked at this sentence for a couple of seconds and damn, I don't understand....... why would TV3D give a "clearer" picture than any other engine?? If you want a clear picture, just get a Matrox video card!

This just doesn't make much sense to my eyes.... it must be there for historical reasons, but would you guys consider a remake of this "slogan"? (I just know the french word of that...)

Just a suggestion

Because it's Truevision3D you fool, that's why! You've missed the point completely! I don't know why I waste my time on these oh-so serious problems. Smiley

Clear Picture = True Vision

Not a statement that TV3D provides better resolution than any other engine, it it just a play on words.
Slogans dont have to "MEAN" anything, just sound interesting and get your attention.

a clear picture can also mean "you understand clearly"

as in.. "oh i have a clear picture about what you are talking about now.."

so that slogan makes sense to me... and shellshock is right.. the slogan doesnt need to actually mean anything..

I see.... well sorry about that then =P
Indeed I've been using TV for a year now and I never really *tried* to understand the slogan, so it proves shellshock's point that a slogan is just used to bring out attention.....
I just thought about it and thought "that doesn't make much sense", but it does... oh well

A year ago everybody was changing their forum taglines to parody the slogan. Some were very funny.

I liked

'When you have a clear picture - you didn't RenderToScreen'

and

'When you have a clear pitcher - you have run out of beer'
