I use unity and I must say that is great. I even buy couple of tutorials from unitytutorials.com and I must say that is very useful ( I would recommend them to anyone who starts with unity, are they are not too expensive, just $ 10 per tutorial ).
One of the most positive impressions of unity to me was made to complete the project in Blender importer most without errors (models, animations, textures and even materials).
Then amazing is the ability to  export project to a different type of platforms.
Using scripts (programming) to unity is more than pleasant. Different ways of connecting with the object code are almost brought to perfection.
By me Unity is everything what one indie developer of games should have.
My opinion is that tv3d has the potential to be as a unity (a decent game engine with additional tools) although more and more realize that TV3D will transformed into a competitor to XNA. Decent framework in which one can make a game engine.
In relation to the XNA TV3D is much better for me. It's much more simple and much more logical to program in TV3D-in then in XNA.
For this reason, I even made a tutorial section and a prototype game engine which I offer as open source under the creative common license for all who want to learn this beautiful SDK.

In the end still want to add that Unity community is almost similar TV3D community (many people who want to help beginners and experienced users). One of the best community I've met so far ( TV3D and Unity community  ) .

I agree with you as far as the engines themselves are concerned
Unity3d and TV3D are in my opinion the best engines around even though it is a matter of fact that Unity3d is strongly supported by while TV3D is not

I totaly disagree with you about the comunity
Well , of course you can find nice people everywhere but in thess comunities there are a lot of fan boys
They deny even the evidences

Call me a whore, I give my TV3D tuts for free.

I haven't used unity, so I dunno what it is like as an engine. But you should never, ever, ever, have to pay to learn whether or not a particular solution fits your project. Big no, no, for me. Just no. If they charge to learn, then I dunno, that would concern me.

They don't charge to learn. One of the users made video tutorials and charges for them, in the same way that TV3D users write libraries or editors and sell them to the community. Several other users have made video tutorials and give them away. All of the learning resources from Unity Technologies themselves are free, and everything given away with them (eg: code, additional libraries, models, textures) are free (even for commercial use.)
