I've never been able to get that thing to work.  Far too complicated in comparison to TV's drop in and go capabilities.

Yeah man you are absolutly right ! TV is the simplest Engine I ever used. Firstly I happen to use 3DState, maaan that was my worst days lols. I mean first you have to build a world then load it..... many error  Cheesy
I am a VB programmer and you know that we VB programmer hate to see C++ code  Cheesy Coz we don't understand.
RealForge is coded in C#, designed to use for .NET. The whole Documention is in C#, for us(VB Programmers) is just like looking at hell Cheesy
More Comments are appriciated.

I use c++ and its hard for me to read vb too, so i think its just a matter of what you use.

If you use c++ its hard to read vb and other way around    .

I find that true programmers can read any language, regardless.  Once you can read the logic, the rest is easy.

on the one hand i tend to agree, on the other hand i find myself unable to decrypt ASM code far too often.

I'd agree with darq.  My comment wasn't in regards to the code, it was in regards to the fact that TV is as simple as linking to it and declaring objects, where realmforge requires you to do a whole lot more to make what you want.

As with code though, I fully believe that if you know what is actually going on when you code and not just "ok, if I put this code block here and that code block there, it should do this"  I can look at C++, VB, C#, Java, etc and convert code between them, as well as understand what's going on in each of them.

Now that I've learned a few languages, I tend to think in concepts only.

All programming languages have similar concepts, so once you begin to think conceptually, you'll discover that simple language syntax is the only difference.  In fact, at times I find myself trying to compile a piece of code in one language only to discover that I've slipped into another language by accident while coding.  It's pretty funny sometimes.

I have been playing around with RealmForge and here is my synopsis:

1.)  Its nowhere near done!  Its engine is based on Anxiom, a C# port from OGRE and if you look on the site for Anxiom, its nowhere near done.
2.)  At the time of this writing, RF has not been updated in 10 months
3.)  It simply WILL NOT WORK CONSISTANTLY with .NET 2.0
4.) Great selling points for the plug-ins with the ability to change/replace/create almost all aspects
5.) No really good documentation in one place, site is VERY POOR (but hey its free)
6.) The price is perfect - free
