Hi community,

I am downloading this 3D engine for testing. According to the feature list it sounds very interesting.

Physics/Joints
Automatic collision handling
Custom HL vertex / pixel shaders
Large terrain / Indoor - Soon!
Skinned meshes
Animation mixing
Shadows
Multitexturing
Particles
Networking
Audio streaming and 3d sounds
Advanced input management
Pathfinding
Finite states
Scaled, skinnable GUI controls
Sprites
Movies on textures
Scripted texture animation
Per pixel lighting
Auto light management

and the price is $149.

What do you think masters?

...and the link is www.gamebench.com

Where Do You Find It?  Why the heck do so many people post engines for comparison and then not post where to find it?  I know use google and find it in 10 seconds, but come on, post the stinking link if you really want any objective opinions.

Well i hope that too, the worst nightmare of a developer is something like this.

Imagine you spend half a yeer learning how to use an engine for instance, you buy the license and then they cancel the whole project.

I would hurt my self bad with a knife or something if that would happeng.

Wait a minute, with all those features up there, and they just disapeared? How could they do that? And ther money people paid, they get refunded, don't they? Otherwise, that sound kind of illegal, for them to take a bunch of money, and then disapear.

well it depends on what you signed when buying the license  :?

you can olways sue them but you can olways sue anybody for anything so that may but dont have to work.

There's nothing illegal about going out of business... If there's no money left in a company, and nobody in the company was personally responsible for the company (I don't know the legal term in English), then you can't really sue them.

Generaly a company is not only people but olso buildings, hardware and software.

If a company is going out of buisness you can sue them and then (i olso dont know law terms in english, sory only polish) if the court agrees theyr stuff is going for auction and you cna get some money back.

Generaly you CAN sue anybody for anything but you will need a good atorney and in many cases there is little propability that you will win.

Some atorneys never lost a case in 15-20 yeers of experience while some cant win even 1.

Its mainly dependant on who you will hire to represent you.
