This engine http://www.esenthel.com looks pretty good,
has a great editor and from what I've seen so far lots of potential.

What do you guys think?

As I see is C++ only and that is bad. C++ is ok if you want build engine from scratch , but if you build engine and it only support C++ , that is big miss.  Sad

I don't say that any engine is miss I say that is big miss if they don't support other programming languages except C++.

I know, that is why I made the above comment, the CryEngine only supports C++ for development Smiley

For you, maybe, but - for better or worse - the vast majority of game developers are using C++, so only supporting c++ doesn't seem like much of a miss in the overall scheme of things.

I hear lots of good things about Esenthel. Along the lines that it's up there for quality with the big boys engines. I have a few engines I plan to compare before starting on my next game though, and I don't think Esenthel suits the type of game I'll be working on next. Still, if you say the level editor is good as well, I might just sneak it onto the end of my list.

Esenthel maybe have lot of features and tools but for me the best choice is TV3D ( one is that support almost all programming languages ).
That's my opinion .  Undecided

All engines and games that are professional level are coded with C++.  C++ is the language of professional programmers.

hmmm you just kicked a post of september 2009...
Professional level is quite the wrong name for it. Yes, AAA games are probably coded in C++, BUT! they do support .NET for example, because their tools are written in .NET, just to make it way faster to develop. So you're wrong to generalize that all professional programmers use C++, that depends greatly on the purpose of the program you're writing as well as the development cycle of it!
