Ok. First, must say I love TV3D. The fact that it works with VB is great. I am a vb.net from 6 convert and I love to be able to use it in VB. Curious what people think about CS 1 now that it has finally been released. Obviously, C++, Python, PERL and Java are not the most useful for VBers like me but for those C++ programmers who have used this, just want to know what yall think.

I really liked CS once I learned the basics. Similar to TV3D, most things are accomplished through coding, and the size of the programming library is impressive. I also liked the python bindings for scripting. The engine, however, did not seem to run as fast as an engine like TV or C4. The CS demo level, which looks great with shaders and particle effects, was
very
choppy at fullscreen on my medium grade computer. Most of the games I've looked at which were made with CS seemed to be at about "EQ1 quality" for multiplayer (lack of shaders for speed perhaps?) and decent but certainly not AAA for single player (Bonez Adventure was the nicest).
My synopsis: It's a great engine-- polished, feature packed, and free-- but it seems a bit dated compared to TV.
Cheers,
Tim
