The C4 Engine looks promising (sort of the same as TV3D, but lacking in the physics area - also an alpha).  The source is included in the license (nice!).

it doesn't seem to have multiple language support, but maybe I just missed something, the site layout kind of sucks as far as giving good info about the engine.  The screenies look nice, but they're nothing that couldn't be easily done in TV as well.  And having source included doesn't really mean anything as you've got to dig through it to figure out what's going on.

It's cool that it includes the world editor though, as that's something that can be a bit of a pain to make.

It  only supports VC++ 7 (2002) which is a bit of a bummer but not a problem for me.  I like having the source so I can see how things are done and perhaps fix some problems or extend the engine.  The documentation is very scarce at the moment.  Overall, I think TV3D is much more complete (and good physics support is critical).

The only thing in which it is maybe better is the integrated lighting and shadowing techniques, but TV3D can do this things with the .fx Shader support.

After I have seen c4 I have regretted about 150 dollars spent by me on TV3D for the sake of access to TV3D 6.5 beta.

Well, that's really just your own dumb fault for not researching I guess.

After seeing the C4 engine it makes me confident in my choice to buy TV. lol.

And you are buying the ability to sell a product with 6.xx, that happens to include a beta.

So far you have 4 total posts, every single one of them in this very thread.  You also are not a registered beta user, so you either have never used the beta and are nothing more than a troll, or you did not want to post using your real username.

Again proving you have not used the beta.  Most beta users will agree that 6.5 is VERY complete at this point, and only requires a few minor parts to be completed before we open it up and allow the beta users to begin shipping products.

Of course, if you were a beta user you also would have seen the beta of our new website, which shows just how much work we've put into the 6.5 release, with a complete makeover of everything, product, support, information, documentation, examples, and website.

Now, carry on.  If this gets out of hand, I will remove the thread and offending users.

Excellent news.

I'm a beta user... where is this web site, and how were we notified?

Haven't seen all of that either, and there should be an other way of having access to those beta resources than chatting on IRC.

I've made a total of 3 posts about this in the beta forum, each time asking for users opinions on the new website.  That's about all I can do, if you missed those posts then I'm sorry -- do a search and you'll find it.

Actually you accuse me of unreasoned claims though at a beta-forum demand nondisclosure of any information about beta.
In my opinion it is not good Tongue

There's this thing called an edit button and the idea of a complete thought.  Combine them and you don't end up with 3 posts in a row.  If you've made your choice, why are you still here?  Go be part of the forums for the product you use instead of talking down a product you don't.
