Just wanted to post some screens of a scene I have been working on in TV3D65 for the past weeks. This was just made as a fun excercise to work with some of the features in Truevision, that I havent tested before (such as Normalmaps, Lightmaps and Shaders).

The Scene is modeled in 3D Studio Max, based on a few screenshots of the adventure game Dreamfall http://www.3dspace.dk/images/House/dreamfall.jpg

Enjoy:

It also gave me the chance to try out some of the excellent shaders by Zaknafein, from other posts (Radiosity Parallex NormalMapping, plus the BloomShader), which is a great way to learn about shaders.

Already looking forward to my next scene in TV, until then have fun  Smiley

To me, your scene looks even better then the actual Dreamfall scene, since you have the parallax/normal maps and bloom and whatnot going. Good job, it looks excellent Cheesy And Dreamfall is an alright game too Wink Good time killer.

Yeap, those are probably the best screenshots i've ever seen in TV3D. It would be interesting to see what would happen if you switched the bloom for HDRR and implemented some shadow mapping( maybe as an addition, or a replacement, for the lightmapping ).

Thanks guys.

I wasnt really sure about the lighting setup. I choose to go with the approach presented by Zaknafein in his previous RadiosityParalax NormalMapping Post, using 3 lightmaps. I did have some trouble exporting the lightmaps from my Max scene (using Radiosity Lighting), and looking at my earlier Pre-Renders I did loose alot of shadow/lighting quality.

Arius, I am definately going to check out your suggestions, and will try out some other lighting solutions, but will propably not be until my next scene. I have dug up some of my old unfinished 3d Max Scenes.

One of Stargate Atlantis comes to mind:

...Off to find that Ocean Shader I saw here a while back  Smiley
