The application crashes without any further explanation when trying to export a .TVM model.

What I did was the following:

- Place the TV3DExport.dle (3dsmax 2009) plugin in the 3ds Max 2009\plugins folder
- Place the sdk\cppdll\TV3D65.dll in the 3ds Max 2009\(root)

Any ideas?

Best regards,

Sylvain found something in the plugin, I got a working version for Max 9 (not 2009), if you want it let me know. He said it will be fixed in the next release

Hey! I have the same problem, Sylvain said that he would release soon the fixed plugin but I need to complete a demo scene soon, so it would be nice if you could provide me with the fixed exporter. Wink

Hi! So many thanks. I've been testing wuth some basic models and it works great. Now the problem is that it crashes when trying to load into modelview. This is the error:

************** Exception Text **************
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
   at CTVActor.LoadXFile(CTVActor* , SByte* , Boolean , Boolean )
at MTV3D65.TVActor.LoadXFile(String datasource, Boolean bLoadTextures, Boolean bLoadMaterials)
   at ModelView.mTV3D.OpenFile(String filename, CONST_TV_FORMAT type)
   at ModelView.frmMain.dlgOpenFile()
   at ModelView.frmMain.mainToolBar_ButtonClick(Object sender, ToolBarButtonClickEventArgs e)
   at System.Windows.Forms.ToolBar.OnButtonClick(ToolBarButtonClickEventArgs e)
   at System.Windows.Forms.ToolBar.WmReflectCommand(Message& m)
   at System.Windows.Forms.ToolBar.WndProc(Message& m)
   at System.Windows.Forms.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m)
   at System.Windows.Forms.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)

This is a X format file, because I can't export a TVA file, 3dmax is crashing at the final step when the exporter has just reached 100% of the progress bar. I think it may be caused by the complexity of the model.

More tests done. Now if I export the model to a FBX file and reimport it I get all the biped bones converted to normal bones. From this point now I can export to X or TVA without any problem. Also noticed that the diference betwen the first exported X file and the last working one is about 50mb.
