Hello,

Because the lack of good documentation corresponding tho 6.5 version in the demo,
is there a way to capture in a video file the scene that is displayed ?

I'd like to have at least the full updated documentation before buying your product, the last doc update is the 6.3.

Thanks for you response,

There is no built-in video capture function, if that's what you're asking.  You can save screen captures and use video editing software to chain them together, but that's not a real-time solution.  You might take a look at FRAPS instead.

I tried FRAPS and well it was a litte choppy...on a GF6600 so I just used my digital camera to take a movie of the screen. It works...! I'm using a flatscreen tho.

The best way is really to record a path or something and screenshot all frames to disk, then use a simple application to build an AVI/MPG from that. But well that takes time to make Wink
You could try also Camtasia maybe.

Thanks for your responses gentlemens, but I already tried Fraps, it works, but Fraps doesn't support batch command (I asked to Fraps guys), and I need to encapsulate the video capture cleany in my app, to give the choice to the user to view the simulation as video file if his computer doesn't support 3d acceleration.

Such a feature exists in another 3dengine (www.vertice.fr / Nova) and in Jade Engine.

http://taksi.sourceforge.net/

Taksi is a fair FRAPS alternative, and it's free.

Many thanks,

I didn't know TAKSI, it seems to answer to my needs. And It opensource, so I will be able to modify the source to adapt it to my app.
