"sgen.exe" exited with code 1

Hi,

I am trying the May release of 6.5 and I have generated my developer license with the downloaded application. When compiling in c# I get the message:

Error   3   "sgen.exe" exited with code 1.   PHPChessClient

When I try to run the TV demo application I also get an exception. I followed the installation as usual and gave the new installation a new path (Program Files\TV3D SDK 6.5080526). I bet this is a stupid error on my part, but I can't see what I am getting wrong (I restarted, re-installed, upgraded drivers,...nothing.

The previous release worked fine (2007)6.5

Any help would be very much appreciated.

- Well, make sure you downloaded the latest Licence app ( there is a new version )  and latest setup pacakges (some problems with mirros, get from normal server )

- Try without a developer license file too (must be in "my documents" or "application data", to see if it's really the problem.

- Post the debug file when the message comes.

Thank you for replying. You are of course right. This doesn't really come down to licensing. I can't run any of the applications delivered with this build either (except model converterstarts fine). SFxE replies with an error and this hint:

So I started to think that maybe the common assemblies are to blame. but TV doesn't show in there. So something else is going on.

I uninstalled everything, re-installed TV, and here is the real kicker...when I revert back to the MTV3D65.dll 03/09/2007 then everything works fine on my .Net application. It gets better still when I replace the MTV3D65.dll in the included apps like the model viewer, it then runs. I even can get the demo to run that way (with a minor warning)

I have no idea what is going on (maybe it has to do with the fact that windows here is running on the H: drive). Any help is very much appreciated.

Given that the support system is down, and we are trying to release a comercial product before the end of June I am running outr of options. I can't generate a valid license code that runs, and the machine crashes when I try to build with the new build.

I need help!!!
