Sorry if this has been reported already...

The missing underwear is only the most noticeable problem.  Actually the entire mesh is incorrectly textured, as though the UVs aren't being interpreted correctly.

I thought that the new 6.5 might be interpreting my shader differently, so I turned it off.  What you're seeing on the right is a mesh with no custom shader applied to it.

Or maybe this isn't a bug.  Does TV_ACTORMODE_CPU require different/extra set-up, now?

This is a mesh exported with a non-TrueVision DirectX exporter, by the way (since there's still no working TrueVision Maya 2008 exporter).

This mesh rendered fine (or rather, much more accurately, e.g. the underwear was visible and most of the body had the right textures and UVs on it) before this latest 6.5 release.

Arg Actor CPU is supposed to be fixed, not broken Smiley

1) Make sure it's using the good DLL (in debug file, the compilation date should be May 15th)
2) If you're using SetLightingMode ( tv_lightingmode_Bumpmapping ) with CPU mode without shader on it, it won't work and produce weird results (FFP doesn't handle that)
3) Send me the .X model Wink I didn't test the new system with a lot of models, it needs extensive testing to make sure all cases are handled correctly.
4) Not working Maya 2008 Exporter ? :s

If we can get that fixed quite quickly it could go in the next "fix" release.

On my end, it's worse than it was in the previous build of 6.5.

1) Make sure it's using the good DLL (in debug file, the compilation date should be May 15th)

That's the one.

2) If you're using SetLightingMode ( tv_lightingmode_Bumpmapping ) with CPU mode without shader on it, it won't work and produce weird results (FFP doesn't handle that)

I'm not doing that.

3) Send me the .X model Wink I didn't test the new system with a lot of models, it needs extensive testing to make sure all cases are handled correctly.

You've got mail.

4) Not working Maya 2008 Exporter ? :s

No.  After carefully following the installation instructions in install guide.PDF, the error that I get from Maya 2008 is "Error: line 1: The specified module could not be found."  (Yes, I have copied TV3D65.dll to Maya's bin\plug-ins\ folder.)  This happens when I attempt to load the plug-in in the Plug-in Manager.

Hey MiloDC the install guide for the plugins is wrong it seems if you place the plugin stuff into the bin folder it will work or it should.. Least thats how my artist was able to get it to work.

Edit: Make sure the TV dll is registered with windows or it might not work. "regserv32 /dlllocation/TV3D65.dll"

Maybe D3DX9_36.dll is missing too.
It's probably that, it should go in system32/

No, that file is already in my Windows\system32\ folder.

Thanks, Toaster.  The plug-in loaded successfully after I placed TV3D65.dll in Maya2008\bin\ instead of Maya2008\bin\plug-ins\ .
