I mentioned this in another thread, perhaps this is a better place to get some help.

Simply put, whenever I try to run an app that uses TV3D, it fails at TVEngine.Init3DWindowed.  This happens only if there is a dev license (i.e. [username].lic) in my Documents folder.

When I remove the dev license, no more failures, but of course I see the watermark.

Naturally, this is pretty annoying, especially considering the use of a dev license is not free.

I have ruled out the presence of conflicting DLLs.  I have checked my entire system for TV3D DLLs that are not the latest version.  That is not the problem.

Also, none of these apps are using their own license files, so it isn't that there are conflicts between license files.

Likewise, it isn't that I'm going about creating the .lic file incorrectly.  (See the original thread.)

Initially, only certain apps would fail, but now none of them play nice with the .lic file.

I tried un-installing and re-installing the latest TV3D SDK.  I tried un-installing and re-installing the License Signer.  All with system reboots in between.

Anyone got any ideas?  I'm stumped.

The devlicense system is based on hardware (harddisk and network). Maybe there is some kind of conflict there, we will try to send you a debug version of the signer + dll. Some problems like that occured in the past but we thought it was ok for all hardware now...

Any word on that debug version?

Sucks that I can't use something for which I've already paid.

MiloDC,

Question, have you by chance tried DependecyWalker on the License Signer?  I don't know if that it would really applicable but still maybe something to try...
