Remeber when I reported a bug with the actor material?

its still there.

I made a model in TrueSpace, and then applied a blue material
IN TRUESPACE to it... Then I exported it.

When I loaded it into an actor, the material was no tthere. Its pure white.
(The material was dark green)

Code:

Sub Load_MainMesh(Path As String)
    Set body = Scene.CreateMeshBuilder("Actor" & i)
    body.LoadSkinMesh Path
    body.SetPosition 0, 0, 0
    body.SetAlphaTest False

End Sub

Try opening it in ModelView, tell me if its "materialed" there.

Because the material issue with X models was fixed, I made sure myself  !

Can you post the generated X file here ?
Seems like it's not linked correctly in the file...

Does this happen in other viewer like 3d exploration or things like that?

What happens if you load it just as a normal static X file with Mesh.LoadXFile ? LoadSkinFile is normally reserved for Animated files only.

Works fine here.
Blue material even with specular lighting.

Try to add a directional light to your scene else it will look black because the ambient part of the material is totally black. So if no light, no diffuse color at all Smiley

You shoudln't use SetMaterial 0 either (it removes all kind of material)

it's too late for me of reading the problem, how I wish I could help to find the solution and fix it. I know this had been resolved. Anyway keep in touch!
