Realm Magic is a RPG maker that uses the Truevision 3D engine. For the last several months, I have been experimenting with a new way of editing a 3D Virtual world with my RPG maker. This new method is radically different than all the prior versions of the software. Even since the project was conceived, I kept looking for easier and faster ways of designing and building a 3D virtual world (known as maps in Realm Magic). This time I might have hit something big.

What I came up with was have you just drag out an area and a menu will prompt what to put in there. Surround with walls, add ceiling, floor, objects, etc. Up to now, you had to use separate modes to add floors, walls, ceilings, objects, lights, etc. One major flow was that you had to re-select the same area over and over again each time you want to add something. Changing textures also took an extra step. The new method just lets you drag out a zone, when you release the button, the Zone Menu pops up.

Now I am posting this new experimental version, 2.3 beta, and the last version that still used the separate drawing modes, 2.2. Basically, I am doing this to get opinions, and see if anyone spots some bugs.

I would like to point out I am looking for donations that will help fund future research of this software. Also remove the Truevision watermark and probably bring in some help so I can get develop new features quicker.

The project is written in VB6, VB.NET source code is also available, but is still using the drawing mode method, still buggy, and the code needs to be ported over to use the Zone Menu. Some may also wonder why I am not jumping on TV 6.5. The reason is that 6.5 is still beta and is not stable.

it's plenty stable.  it's been in beta a long time and stability is not an issue.  There are the occassional bugs involing a function that doesnt work correctly, but there's clearly no issues with the apps just crashing "randomly" or any such thing as far as I know.

Actually it crashes and locks up my computer. Not sure if it is because I am using on board video or interfacing with vb6. Have not a whole lot of time to check to see what is going on. I did attempt an upgrade and it crashed vb6 and did not save the modifications.
