Dark South

Races:
Human race 1:   United Coalition
Human race 2:    Ravel Nation
Alien race      :   Marakron
   
Story Line:
   
Year : 2040

Main  Story –

The Earth is being destroyed by Nuclear Wars and natural disasters, therefore millions of people are escaping to Space, searching for an planet where they can survive on, once they arrive at an dark planet, they form two different races: the former Asians are now calling themselves Ravel Nation. And the former western countries (England, Holland, France, Germany Belgium America etc.) are now the United Coalition, they are building there home quarters etc. on different places, but once they go and explore the planet, they find more dangerous life.. and they’ll fight the Marakron.

The Units–

Marakron:
Very fancy looking creatures, with hi-tech weapons, few in numbers. But very strong.
United Coalition:
Mid-Class weapons, normal numbers, strong econonomy, lot of knowledge
Ravel Nation:
Weak Weapons, fight with whatever they find, or have stolen, from stones to the weapons of the Marakron, have a lotta soldiers-   Game Type / Gameplay

Were aiming for an 'fast' game, with short games between 10 - 20 minutes, with a lotta strategic moves,

I’ll post some screenshots/concept art when the game gets in an better stage, we currently have a team of 4 (!) people working on this.. including me, a modeler. music guy Smiley  and an concept artist.

Well... you know people from Asia arent so stupid to fight with rocks and such.

You know in some Asia countrys there is more hi tech stuff on a square metter than anywhere else in the world.
Strategic moves require time Smiley and in 15 mins you wont do too much strategic moves, even a game like "War of the Ring" with is a pure "fight youre way" game where making buildings or any kind of economy is only usfull on ealier levels and later you can just forget making units and cut throught with youre 5 heroes still one level can be playd for more than an hauer.

If you can please post some concept art, i would like to see how you guys make those.

like i said: the asians were so stupid to not bring weapens so they needed to fight with whatever they can find... Smiley

with strategic moves i mean that u don't have the AI doing all the work for u but u need to decide most of the things yourselve.

and with the 15 minutes games i ment that the game speed wil be high, instead of fighting for hours like in AoE

good luck with your project.  Having made a fairly advanced attempt at an RTS I can tell you that its way harder than it looks.  Nonetheless it is not impossible and I wish you luck.  Keep us posted about your progress.

Wow. RTS was the most game type that I like to play !  But I don't agree that stupid to fight with rocks and something like that .

However what's new in your project. I think that nothing new in RTS for a long time. The most RTS are the same ,just build build and build and attack, that's all. So boring.

I hope that there are any new ideas,not just  RTS + RPG ( like warcraft).
