Just a confidence booster for Those wishing to use HermesNet

I've been using this network system for about 6 months and have written a commercial application with it. I've had minimal problems and they were generally my own lack of knowledge.

support is great with his own support forum which you find my posts.

This network library is one of the easierst i've used, i've created my own also
and still prefer to use HermesNet.

A Great Network Solution and Easy To Get Working...

Thanks HermesNet...

Hey, since your forum doesnt work on your site I'll post it here.

The patcher doesnt seem to want to transfer files larger than 3 megs.

It gets to about 3 megs and then starts downloading the file again, in a constant loop.

Tried with several files Sad

Hi,

Yes, the forum is disabled because a lot of spam messages.(even with admin account validation)

I am trying to find a better php forum solution.

I have just added a new category on HermesNet project download page.

HermesNet 2 Alpha.

The new version now supports both TCP and UDP protocol.
As the main objective of the library is to provide a very simple way to add network to your app :

Here is the way to create a TCP server:
Code:
HermesNet2.Server.Server _server = new HermesNet2.Server.Server(HermesNet2.Protocols.Tcp);

And here is the way to create an UDP server:
Code:
HermesNet2.Server.Server _server = new HermesNet2.Server.Server(HermesNet2.Protocols.Udp);

Well please report me any bug you find, as i said before this an alpha version.

Very cool Valcriss!.

I like this lib more and more everyday!

Is it reliable UDP, or just normal.

Valcriss, I tried HermesNet very briefly a while back but it balked at creating code because I'm using VS 2005...is there any way around this issue (other than upgrading Visual Studio)?

Hello Xavram, i don't know if i truly understand your problem, but i have made a test tonight with VS2005 that you can found here :

[Edit : See on the website below]

As far as i know, HermesNet and HermesAdd both work with VS2005.
If they don't for you, it may be a bug, if you have any problem, send me a private message.
we will try to find a solution.
