Can someone point me in the right direction, after entering my key information, I am trying to run MapExample project. Build is perfect but no level is loaded? Just a blank screen, I dug deeper and saw references to images not even included in the download link? This is especially true for the spell particle effect example.
Am I missing something?
... Okay I just clicked... Someone mentioned that this checks back to your side with the server. Well it worked now, but took out my internet connection at the same time while the application was running? bizarre.
If I start developing with this how will I deploy? There are no license fees for this yet and I can't have it check the net at a client who doesn't have a connection, just for the rendering to take place.
Also does this support Quake 1 maps only? or hammer generated HL2 levels as well?
Look forward to your response

Many people are confused with this. Let me come out of retirement to say the Map loader ONLY WORKS WITH HL .MAP's That's Half-Life 1 .Map fileformat.
Yes, as of right now it requires internet connection to check your key and only does this once upon execution. There should be no reason for it to "crash" your internet. The next version will perform key validation locally.
Editors that the TVMap supports are Hammer Editor, Worldcraft, 3D World Studio exported as a HL 1 .MAP, Quark HL1 Map Export.
The spell textures were not included as they have no relation to the TVMap, it was only to showcase how to load a map with physics to perform First Person Shooter controls.

BUMP...
updated first post:
Many people have used my sdk (318 registrants and counting) and some have had troubles getting it to work. I must admit, since leaving the project and working other stuff I found myself constantly coming back to my sdk to help people get it working and other support issues. I haven't released any new versions in quite a while so I'm here saying that I will remedy that. I also know I have totally slacked on documentation and will start writing some tutorials for the TVMap and TVGui parts of the sdk while also showing off parts of the Imaging library to make some nifty TVGui UI Effects.
The great news is that I'm going to shutdown the registration form and keys and open this baby up to the community, FREE OPEN SOURCE! I would like to share my knowledge with all of you in the hopes that it will help you produce excellent games. I also love you guys!
I'll be trolling around here like I always do and I will post when the new SDK is available.

I removed the GUI due to lack of documentation, as soon as I get some docs on how to actually start using the GUI, I'll release it as well.

Aha, just saw the post telling us it was out and OS. Thank you Aeon. I have been interested in your MAP implementation for a while, as you know, this will help me a sh**load. I thank you very much. Most source is easy to make OS, I'm sure this wasn't. You should know it is appreciated on every level .

My .map implementation was because I didn't want to spend time writing an editor and would rather use a format that was already widely popular with 3d CSG editors. I would love for an entity like system (like how I did it in TVMap) for support over the entire TV architecture but some people want to offset the cost of licenses with selling software so..... I personally believe that if one were to have source for all the things one could think of when using TV, more people would be interested in it.
